Ken Setterington and Children's Storytelling
Ken Setterington spoke to ELA members in 2010. He is a noted authority on children’s books and has won the Toronto Arts Award for Writing and Publishing for his work with children’s literature. He was named the first Children and Youth Advocate for Library Services by the Toronto Public Library. He published three books with Tundra Books—Hans Christian Andersen's The snow queen: a fairy tale told in seven stories (2000), The wild swans : an adventure in six parts (2003), and Clever Katarina: a tale in six parts (2006). As well, he is an advocate for LGBTQ2+ rights and published Mom and Mum are getting married! with Second Story Press in 2004.
Ken's talk was originally uploaded to Youtube and sub-divided into four parts due to the uploading restrictions the video streamer maintained at the time. His entire presentation is about forty minutes in length.
